Accounts Payable Specialist

Location: Onsite role in Columbus, OH

Key Responsibilities of the Accounts Payable Specialist:

Process vendor invoices, ensuring accuracy and proper coding.

Review and verify invoices for appropriate approval and payment processing.

Reconcile vendor statements and resolve any discrepancies promptly.

Prepare and process electronic transfers, ACH payments, and check runs.

Maintain accurate records and document all accounts payable transactions.

Assist with month-end closing tasks, including AP reconciliations and reporting.

Communicate with vendors to resolve payment issues while maintaining a professional relationship.

Collaborate with other departments to ensure timely and accurate payment processing.

Preferred Qualifications of the Accounts Payable Specialist:

3+ years of experience in Accounts Payable or a similar role.

Ability to manage a high volume of invoices with speed and accuracy.

Solid understanding of bookkeeping principles and/or basic accounting concepts.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
