Position Summary:

The Payroll Administrator is responsible for the accurate and timely processing of payroll for their respective employees. This position ensures compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations, maintains payroll records, and collaborates with HR and Finance to support audits, reporting, and employee inquiries.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process end-to-end payroll on a bi-weekly/weekly basis for multiple pay groups, including hourly, salaried, and union employees
  • Review and verify timesheets, earnings, deductions, and adjustments in the payroll system
  • Maintain and update employee payroll records, including new hires, terminations, status changes, garnishments, and direct deposit information
  • Respond to employee inquiries related to payroll, tax withholdings, and pay statements
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant federal, state, and local regulations (FLSA, wage and hour laws, tax regulations, etc.)
  • Assist with year-end processing including W-2 forms, bonus payments, and reconciliation
  • Generate reports for internal departments such as HR, Finance, and external auditors
  • Collaborate with HR on benefit deductions, PTO accruals, and leave of absence tracking
  • Reconcile payroll prior to transmission and validate confirmed reports
  • Stay informed about changes in payroll and tax laws to maintain compliance

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma required
  • 3+ years of payroll processing experience, preferably in a multi-state or unionized environment
  • ADP Lyric and Workforce Management knowledge preferred
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Office applications
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion

The anticipated hourly range for this position is $25 - $27, and includes benefits such as the following:
