Our client, a large automotive parts importer, is seeking a Senior Accountant - Consolidations to join their team. As a Sr. Accountant - Consolidations, you will play a key role in the preparation of consolidated financial statements, month-end close, intercompany eliminations, and audit coordination. What's the Job?
- Financial Reporting & Consolidations : Prepare monthly and annual consolidated financial statements, manage intercompany eliminations, currency translations, and draft technical accounting memos.
- Month-End Close : Record and review journal entries, collaborate cross-functionally to resolve discrepancies, and maintain accurate close documentation.
- Audit & Compliance : Support internal/external audits and SOX compliance, prepare audit schedules, and monitor internal controls for adherence to accounting standards.
- Process Improvement & Automation : Identify opportunities to streamline GL and close processes, and lead automation initiatives to boost efficiency and accuracy.
- Leadership & Collaboration : Mentor junior staff and partner with finance, operations, and IT teams to ensure data integrity and alignment.
What's Needed?
- Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- 46 years of experience in financial reporting and consolidations.
- Strong understanding of GAAP, intercompany eliminations, and footnote disclosures.
- Experience with ERP systems and proficiency in Excel and Word.
- Familiarity with automation tools and process improvement initiatives is a plus.
