Job Title: Senior Accountant

Job Summary:

As a Senior Accountant, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the accuracy and completeness of financial statements for various legal entities across multiple currencies, in compliance with GAAP. You will manage timely recording and reporting of accounting transactions, assist with purchase price accounting for mergers and acquisitions, and support inventory confirmations and transfer pricing transactions. Your responsibilities also include co-leading month-end and year-end close activities, maintaining accounting documentation, staying updated on regulatory changes, and collaborating with various teams to improve processes and systems. Additionally, you will provide support during audits and implement corrective actions based on findings.

 

Job Responsibilities:
 

  • Ensure timely recording, analyzing and reporting of accounting transactions.
  • Ensure full and complete balancing of intercompany transactions to allow for proper elimination at group level.
  • Co-lead and participate in month-end and year-end close activities, including journal entry posting, reconciliations, accruals, and financial reporting.
  • Provide back-up and support for other accountants and ensure proper cross training.
  • Understand and support revenue recognition in accordance with ASC606.
  • Understand, support and record transactions related to right of use assets, leases, ASC842.
  • Develop and maintain documentation related to accounting policies and procedures, ensuring alignment with company guidelines and best practices.
  • Support the review of financial statements for a variety of legal entities, in multiple currencies, to ensure completeness and accuracy of financial data in compliance with accounting standards & GAAP .
  • Stay abreast of changes in accounting standards and regulations, evaluating their impact on the organization, and implementing necessary adjustments.
  • Assist in internal and external audits by providing documentation, explanations, and support related to revenue and revenue related processes, controls, and compliance.
  • Implement corrective actions and improvements based on audit findings and recommendations.
  • All other duties as assigned, which may change from time to time to meet business needs.
     

Additional Responsibilities
 

  • Participation in meetings and training sessions to convey necessary information for job performance.
  • Utilization of diverse technical skills, including Microsoft Suite, to enhance task completion and streamline processes.
  • Keeping abreast of ERP system and other software updates.
  • Maintaining solid knowledge of GAAP accounting and financial reporting standards

 

Requirements & Skills
 

  • Bachelor's degree in finance or accounting and at least five years of related experience in a business office setting performing accounting duties or a commensurate combination of education and experience.
  • Familiarity with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP), professional service accounting, and financial reporting.
  • Experience in the Software/SaaS industry is strongly preferred
  • Proficiency with QuickBooks Online and Oracle Netsuite, along with intermediate MS Excel proficiency is required
  • Previous exposure to the integration of ERP accounting systems is preferred.
  • Strong organizational, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills
  • Proven ability to execute detail-oriented work, manage multiple competing priorities, and able to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Flexible with working hours – must be able available for occasional evening meetings and extended hours during deadlines.
