As the Payroll Coordinator you will provide administrative payroll support performing a variety of tasks such as garnishments and interrogatories for various states within the East Central Region. Provides backup coverage for other staffs garnishments as needed. Assists with weekly preparation of scanning garnishment documents and managing the legal garnishment mailbox. Handles tasks associated with commissions, analyzing and calculating commission payments for our sales team, coordinating with other payroll staff. Assists with vacation research questions and projects as needed. Provides quality customer service support to district offices and employees, researching and resolving most questions. Assists with any special projects and provides coverage for other regional payroll staff and supervisor as needed. This is a full-time position located at the Eastern Operating Center (EOC) in Parsippany, NJ.
Compensation and Benefits :
Depending on experience, Securitas will offer a pay rate of $28.84 to $31.25 per hour, in addition to a full benefits package that includes:

Key Responsibilities:
Process garnishments for the East Central Region states such as bankruptcies, child supports, IRS levies, state tax levies, government writs, and garnishment orders including new setups, modifications to existing orders, releases and responding to orders for terminated employees.
Answer garnishment interrogatories and questionnaires for the East Central Region states.
Assist other regions with their garnishment setups as needed for backup coverage.
Update weekly special handling garnishment check log for specific states that require mailing in checks with interrogatories.
Assist with the preparation of cover sheets for garnishment documents to be scanned to Flextecs.
Provide backup coverage for managing the Legal garnishment mailbox, reviewing and distributing new orders to staff for handling.
Review commission requests submitted to payroll from Smartsheet for accuracy and appropriate approvals.
Process weekly loads to update new engagements in payroll system to be included in calculation for commissions.
Generate and review weekly commission reports for payment. Analyze sales payments for trends, accuracy, and discrepancies.
Perform audits, researching commission payments when requested by the Region or Business Development Manager.
Meet with Director of Sales Operation for annual audit of policies, updating new codes and system table.
Process East Center union dues reports and payments, answer and resolve any related questions.
Assist with answering vacation, sick and PTO questions related to accruals including projects to research and correct balances as needed.
Assist with employment verification and opening and distributing payroll mail as needed.
Additional duties and or projects including updating procedures for various payroll related tasks.
Education/Experience:
Bachelors degree in business, or accounting preferred; high school diploma or equivalent required
Minimum of 3 to 5 years of payroll processing experience required, preferably in a fast-paced customer setting
Experience in a shared services environment and solid understanding of payroll cycles
Experience with Oracle Fusion Cloud preferred
Competencies:
Demonstrated proficiency in various PC applications including Internet Browsers, Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and/or other database software packages
Thorough understanding of standard office procedures and practices
Demonstrated knowledge of mathematical concepts including computation of rates, ratios, percentages, averages, and reconciliation
Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagrammatic, or schedule form
Ability to analyze and interpret complex data; interpret day-to-day business objectives, preparation and execution of operational practices and work programs
Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to write original correspondence
