The Sr Financial Analyst (SFA) is responsible for analyzing financial performance, establishing budgetary goals, and developing recommendations on expense and cost saving opportunities. This role owns the consolidation of all US Stores expenses including exposure to Occupancy, Labor/Bonus, Supplies, etc. Providing executive leaders with budget, cost projections, variance analysis, and risk/opportunities will be key to this role. The SFA works closely with many finance partners as well as business operations. This position reports to the Manager of Finance for Stores.

Responsibilities
  • Drive budget discussions and manage expenses for all US stores, including weekly meetings with key partners to enable strategic and thoughtful investment decisions to support the goals of the business
  • Highly involved in execution of store supplies strategy to ensure stores are supported to drive sales and positive customer experience.
  • Perform business, financial, and operations analysis to support senior management decision-making.
  • Partner with cross-functional finance teams, communicate accurate financial projections and provide the vital level of detail to explain variance analysis.
  • Perform ad-hoc financial analysis to facilitate strategic and tactical decision making across various departments.
  • Adhere to deadlines within the internal projections cadence (weekly updates, end of month process, quarterly Earnings materials).
  • Analyze trends and other business initiatives.
  • Find opportunities for continuous improvement in functional work, reporting and standard operating procedures.
  • Interface with CFO and other senior management

Qualifications

  • Must be a problem solver and be able to function in a high volume, agile environment that serves many high-profile internal partners.
  • Proven ability to think analytically and creatively while maintaining financial controls.
  • Ability to communicate in an effective and concise manner with leaders to influence business decisions through fact-based analyses.
  • Excellent oral and written presentation skills.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to lead multiple, competing priorities.
  • Highly motivated and demonstrates independent initiative in performance against objectives.
  • Exhibits leadership proficiencies and professional maturity in dealing with peers, partners, and senior leaders.
  • Ability to distill, articulate and model complex business questions/matters.
  • Conducts all work in a confidential, ethical, and professional manner.
  • Ability and willingness to take on additional responsibilities as needed.
Education
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance or Accounting
  • MBA with focus in Finance and/or Accounting preferred.
  • Financial accreditations and/or CPA preferred.
