Position Description:

The Payroll Specialist position is a major contributor to the organization in regard to ensuring the timely and accurate delivery of the weekly/biweekly employee payroll. Maintain employee files, process changes, field questions and communicate with all employees. This position also supports key areas of the Human Resources departments . Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain employee database
  • Process employee payroll each week
  • Payroll reporting
  • Answer employee questions as they arise
  • Manage garnishments, contributions, 401k, flex and other payables
  • Miscellaneous filing projects
  • Support the development and maintenance of HRIS Module
  • Misc. admin and clerical duties
  • Must be able to handle high-pressure situations
  • Responsible for completing certified payroll forms
  • Establish and review the prevailing wage rates and fringe metrics per project
  • Reconciled to the prevailing wage against the data sent to ADP and what appears on the payroll register
  • Other projects as needed

Preferred Education and Experience:

  • Associates degree or some post-secondary education
  • Payroll experience 2-4 years with prevailing wage knowledge
  • Large scalepayrollexperiencepreferred (1000+ employees)
  • ADP payroll platform specifically Time and Attendanceand Workforce Now
  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Positive attitude and professional behavior
  • Previous HR experience a plus
