We are searching for a Tax Manager; the role includes the following responsibilities:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and review the preparation of federal, state, and local tax returns for individuals, corporations, partnerships, trusts, and estates.
  • Manage, train, and mentor a team of accountants and junior staff, including assigning tasks and reviewing work for accuracy and compliance.
  • Conduct and oversee tax research on complex tax issues, staying current with changing tax laws and regulations.
  • Advise clients on tax strategies, planning opportunities, and compliance requirements.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients regarding tax matters, audits, and correspondence with tax authorities.
  • Oversee and manage tax audits and communications with the IRS and state agencies.
  • Maintain effective communication with partners, staff, and clients to manage expectations, deadlines, and deliverables.
  • Identify process improvements and contribute to the firm’s operational efficiency.

 

Qualifications:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (Master’s in Taxation preferred).

 

  • Active CPA license.

 

  • 5+ years of experience in public accounting, with at least some in a supervisory or management role.

 

  • Strong technical knowledge of tax law and compliance regulations.

 

  • Excellent leadership, communication, and analytical skills.

 

  • Experience with tax preparation and accounting software (e.g., CCH, QuickBooks, Thomson Reuters).
