The Cost Accountant will support management with monthly production work order processing, cost allocations, inventory reconciliations, and standard costing report analysis.

Duties:

  • Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements
  • Conduct cost analysis and provide recommendations for cost reduction and process improvement
  • Updates and reports Quarterly Pay-for-Performance (PFP) calculations
  • Perform annual cost roll and inventory revaluation
  • Maintains, analyzes, and updates all aspects of the Company's standard cost system through reviewing and analyzing the bill of materials and associated routers
  • Maintaining accurate books and records and strong internal control processes
  • Perform variance analysis to identify trends and potential issues
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement cost control measures
  • Ensure compliance with accounting principles and company policies
  • Manage the monthly accounting close
  • Analyzes differences between budgeted and actual spend
  • Maintain corporate accounting policies

 

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
  • Minimum of 3 plus years of experience in cost accounting or related field
  • Manufacturing cost accounting
  • Experience with budgeting and account analysis
  • ERP systems
  • Knowledge in INFOR ERP Powerlink and MAPICS and/or similar system(s).
  • Familiarity with financial accounting principles and practices
  • Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
