Payroll Specialist

We are looking for an experienced Payroll Specialist to join our client's comprehensive payroll team in Tyler, Texas. Their team processes payroll for over 5,000 employees, ensuring accuracy and compliance across multiple payroll cycles. The ideal candidate will have prior payroll experience and familiarity with PeopleSoft and Kronos systems.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Monthly Payroll Processing

   • Handle the accurate processing of monthly payroll for salaried employees.

   • Ensure timely and accurate distribution of payroll data and reports.

2. Bi-Weekly Payroll

   • Process bi-weekly payroll for hourly employees.

   • Maintain and update timesheets to ensure accuracy in hourly payroll calculations.

3. Time Punch Maintenance

   • Monitor and maintain time punch records.

   • Ensure discrepancies in time punches are resolved promptly and accurately.

Additional Responsibilities:

• Start with managing the front end of payroll processes.

• Gradually support the back end of payroll, including deductions and benefits administration.

• Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations.

• Collaborate with HR and Finance departments to ensure seamless payroll operations.

• Provide exceptional customer service to employees regarding payroll inquiries.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience in payroll processing.

• Familiarity with PeopleSoft and Kronos systems is preferred.

• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.

• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

• Knowledge of relevant payroll laws and regulations.
