GENERAL LEDGER/ACCOUNTING MANAGER

The General Ledger Manager is responsible for the overall integrity of the general ledger structure and managing the month-end close. This role is responsible for ensuring the timely and accurate reporting of world-wide consolidated financial statements and support. This person will interact with many groups within the company in a highly visible position. The right person for this role is an outstanding communicator, has strong leadership and project management skills, is proactive and intellectually curious and can effectively problem solve in a fast-paced environment. This position reports to the Sr. Director, Accounting and is located in Irvine, California.

• Own the general ledger master data (chart of accounts, costs centers, financial approval matrix)
• Manage accurate and timely fiscal month-end accounting closes
• Prepare monthly consolidation files
• Proactively identify issues and areas for improvement within the close process and implement process improvements
• Review journal entries and account reconciliations
• Oversee the intercompany accounting function
• Assist in developing and monitoring accounting policies and procedures
• Responsible for leading and participating in ad hoc project teams related to acquisitions, system implementations, audits, etc.
• Provide support to external auditors in connection with quarterly reviews and annual audits
• Assist in documentation and monitoring of internal controls
• Manage and coach a team of two

• Bachelors degree and minimum 10 years of job experience
• CPA license and public accounting experience preferred
• 8+ years of accounting experience
• 2+ years of management experience
• SAP experience strongly preferred
• Excellent understanding of foreign currency transactions, revaluation and translation
• Extensive knowledge of US GAAP
• Strong business partnering, project management and interpersonal skills
• Ability to multi-task and manage numerous simultaneous priorities
• Must be a good team leader and team player

The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is currently USD $112,500 - $215,900 per year . Starting base pay will depend on relevant experience and skills, training and education, business needs, market demands, the ultimate job duties and requirements, and work location. Skyworks has different base pay ranges for different work locations in the U.S. Benefits include access to healthcare benefits (including a premium-free medical plan option), a 401(k) plan and company match, an employee stock purchase plan, paid time off (including vacation, sick/wellness, parental leave), among others.
