Tax Accountant

Our client, a dynamic and innovative organization, is seeking a Tax Accountant to join their team. As a Tax Accountant, you will be part of the finance department supporting various teams. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, excellent problem-solving abilities, and a collaborative mindset which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Tax Accountant

Location: Omaha, Nebraska

Schedule: Tue-Thu in office, Mon and Fri WFH

Pay Range: $60,000 - $65,000 (Direct Hire)

What's the Job?

• Prepare sales and use tax reporting (multiple states preferred 25+)
• Prepare commercial rent tax returns for New York City agencies.
• Assist with maintenance of tax systems.
• Manage the unclaimed property reporting and escheatment process.

What's Needed?

• Bachelors Degree in Accounting is required MBA/CPA is a plus.
• 3-4 years of Accounting experience with multi-state sales and property tax filing.
• Proficient in word processing and spreadsheet software applications.
• Ability to interface well with other internal departments and outside customers.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
