The Staff Accountant is responsible for maintaining accounting records to facilitate efficient, timely, and accurate monthly close.
- Partners with other accounting and finance functions (Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Treasury, etc.) to ensure that all costs are recorded timely and accurately.
- Maintains global intercompany records and ensures that intercompany transactions are fully eliminated at a consolidated level at each month end period.
- Assists coordinating year-end external audits – i.e.: ensures that full support for audit requests is provided timely.
- Follows all applicable policies and procedures as documented.

Scope and Responsibilities
- Maintaining general ledger, including journal entry preparation and posting
- Preparing bank reconciliations
- Reconciling all other balance sheet accounts each month
- Maintaining the Company’s global intercompany transactions in SAP S4/HANA
- Working with other accountants to ensure proper tracking and elimination of intercompany balances at each month end period
- Performing monthly matching and reconciliation of all intercompany balance sheet and income statement accounts
- Assisting with coordination of annual external audits – i.e. ensuring that full support for audit requests is provided timely
- Other duties as assigned

Qualifications- Must have a working knowledge of US GAAP in the areas of general and intercompany accounting
- Extension of intercompany accounting knowledge to intercompany elimination and consolidation concepts a plus

Experience and Education:
- Must have a Bachelor of Accounting Degree
- Must have at least 2 years’ experience in general accounting, handling intercompany accounting and transactions a plus
- CPA license or CPA candidate a plus
Communication Skills:
- Must have strong written and verbal communication skills
Comput er Skills:
- Prior experience using SAP for general accounting strongly preferred
- Strong Excel skills required
You’ll also need to have:
- Ability to work independently and with a team in a fast paced and high-volume environment with emphasis on accuracy and timeliness
- Ability to travel up to 5% of the time with short notice
