About the Position
*This is a time limited position* This position will work with the MDHS Division of Workforce Development. The position is responsible for reviewing and approving subgrantee claims, providing fiscal technical assistance, and conducting random sample fiscal audits. The position is also responsible for reviewing budget requests and budget modifications.
What you'll need to be Successful
Proficiency with standard accounting systems, spreadsheets, and/or Smartsheet for invoicing and billing. Knowledge of standard accounting and bookkeeping principles and best practices. An ability to effectively manage multiple priorities at the same time, whether working independently or as a part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications
Typically requires a Bachelor's Degree and 4-5 years of experience and/or appropriate certification. Agency preferred qualifications: An accounting degree plus experience performing accounting duties within a fast-paced finance department while adhering to established standards is preferred.
