SCOPE:
Through the years and continuing through today, Mitsubishi Heavy Industries America Corrugating Machinery Division (CMD) serves the growing, dynamic packaging industry with leading edge equipment systems, sales, parts, technical and field support, making it one of the most respected suppliers to converters in North and Central America.
The Accounting Assistant I provides accounting support MHIA's Corrugating Machinery Division. This role is responsible for processing invoices for parts and sales, data entry of expenses and other accounting transactions while working within the limits of standard or accepted practice.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Confirm in SAP that the packing list has been moved to Post Goods Issue (PGI) stage to start the generation of the parts sale's invoices.Conduct appropriate follow-ups with the warehouse team if the packing lists have not been set to PGI.Ensure timely updates of the invoices to include tracking number for all the parts shipped to customers.Enter billable amounts for the freight cost and other information provided by the warehouse-shipping team.Complete the billing process by releasing, printing, and mailing customer invoices.Enter invoices issued in applications such as ARIBA or COUPA for customers as required.Be responsible for data entry of expenses in SAP.Contact and review statements from vendors and conduct appropriate follow-up.Maintain a safe work area and comply with safety procedures and equipment operating rules keeping work area in a clean and orderly condition.Participate in any variety of meetings and work groups to integrate activities, communicate issues, obtain approvals, resolve problems and maintain specified level of knowledge pertaining to new developments, requirements, and policies.Perform other related administrative duties as assigned.
MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Education Requirement: High School Diploma or EquivalentExperience: At least one (1) year of experience in accounting or related administrative rolesSpecial Skills/Training/Certifications:
Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite. Intermediary knowledge of Excel.Excellent written and oral communication skillsAbility to use usual peripherals and standard office equipment
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Associate's degree in Business Administration, Accounting, or similar fieldExperience with SAP or other ERP systemsExperience with ARIBA, COUPA, or a similar system
WORKING CONDITIONS:
Standard Monday through Friday work week.Weekend/late night work if applicable: 10%Lifting/physical requirements: Regularly required to sit for long periods, stand, walk, talk and/or hear. Frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.

The pay range for this position is $24.35 to $28.50 per hour. The actual wage offered depends on budget, candidate experience, knowledge, and qualifications.
