The Department of Transportation and Public Facilities (DOT&PF) Southcoast Region Support Services is looking for an Accountant 2/3 Flex in Juneau to help us Keep Alaska Moving!
BASE SALARY INFORMATION

Accountant 2 : $2341.50 / biweekly
Accountant 3 : $2697.00 / biweekly

What you will be doing:
Accountant 2

Under direct supervision from the Project Control Chief, this position serves as support for fund management of capital improvement projects.

The incumbent will provide support as necessary for ensuring funding requirements are met on the Regions capital projects under state and federal statutory and regulatory guidelines.

Accountant 3

Under general direction from the Project Control Chief, this position serves as support lead for fund management of capital improvement projects.

The incumbent is responsible for ensuring all funding requirements are met on the Regions emergency capital projects under state and federal statutory and regulatory guidelines.

The incumbent will assist the Project Control Chief in evaluating a variety of the most complex CIP budget issues that can require implementing new fiscal management procedures, especially in regard to the process of managing Emergency Funding Authorization Projects and the collection of information and documentation that is needed when the State is expecting to receive reimbursement from FHWA or FEMA for expenses related to an emergent event.

The incumbent will orchestrate CH8 requested when needed and will certify ICT transactions as well as CAM and BGPHR documents when needed.

FLEXIBLY STAFFED This position is flexibly staffed. This vacancy may be filled at either the Accountant 2 or Accountant 3 Level , depending on the applicant's training and/or experience. The full range of salaries is listed above. Starting salary will be determined by the level the position is hired at. If filled at Level 2, promotion to the Level 3 will occur upon successful completion of the probationary period and required training, as well as the applicant meeting the minimum qualifications of the higher job class.
