We are a manufacturing company serving both the private and government sectors. We maintain high standards in material compliance, supplier management, and financial accuracy. We are seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to join our team and ensure our financial processes support our continued growth.
Position Overview
The Senior Accountant will be key in managing financial reporting, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and supporting our internal controls. This role requires exceptional attention to detail, strong analytical skills, and the ability to collaborate across departments to maintain financial integrity.
Key Responsibilities
• Oversee month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting.
• Manage GL entries, including matching vendor invoices to correct periods in accordance with our company policies.
• Assist in Maintaining accurate records of inventory, fixed assets, and other financial data.
• Review and reconcile accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger transactions.
• Maintain and improve internal controls to safeguard company assets.
• Collaborate with purchasing, receiving, and production teams to ensure financial data aligns with operational processes.
• Cross-train across all accounting support functions to ensure business continuity and process efficiency.
Qualifications
• Associate’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 5+ years of accounting experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency in ERP systems
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively and take ownership of meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• High attention to detail with a commitment to accuracy.
