Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to join our finance team, a fast-paced and growing trucking and logistics company. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing financial records, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and providing financial insights that support our operational and strategic goals.

Key Responsibilities:

Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts.

Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.

Manage accounts payable and receivable processes.

Oversee payroll processing and ensure timely tax filings.

Track and allocate fuel expenses, tolls, and maintenance costs.

Handle invoicing and billing for clients and vendors.

Support budget preparation and financial forecasting.

Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal financial regulations.

Collaborate with dispatch and operations teams for accurate financial tracking.

Assist with audits and internal financial reviews.

Implement and maintain accounting systems and procedures.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

CPA or similar certification is a plus.

5+ years of accounting experience, preferably in the transportation or logistics industry.

Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards.

Proficiency with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, or industry-specific platforms).

Strong Excel skills and familiarity with financial analysis tools.

Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.

Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
