Job Description

Nation Wide Facility Maintenance Company in Sunrise, FL looking for a detail-oriented individual with a minimum of 5 years as an Accounting Manager who will take ownership of the Accounting Department at our medium size company.


This job is extremely hands-on and detail-oriented, bearing much responsibility, so the Accounting Manager must be responsible and self-reliant. The ability to present information to the owner is critical; in those presentations, they must be able to define problems distinctly, collect data accurately, establish reliable facts, and draw valid conclusions.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Full cycle Accounts Receivable, including preparation of monthly invoices and maintaining customer and vendor records

2. Accounts Payable including: purchase orders and vendor records maintenance 

3. Multiple Bank reconciliations for depository accounts

4. Reconcile all balance sheet accounts; reviewing for input accuracy and prepare monthly reports and journal entries, as needed

5. General ledger maintenance

6. Prepare weekly payroll

7. Administration of quarterly business and payroll taxes

8. Prepare monthly financial statements

9. Maintain required business documents

10. Prepare annual 1099’s

11. Assistance with the annual budget and audit process

12. Maintain financial document retention files

13. New vendor setup and maintenance 

14. Vendor statement reconciliation and discrepancies

15. Deposit and cash reports

16. Prepare and/or review of all expense reports for accuracy and proper expense disclosure

17. Perform accounting requirements on construction projects

18. Perform other related duties as may be requested by the Chief Executive Officer.

EDUCATION/SKILL QUALIFICATIONS:

 1. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting 

2. Proficient in accounting software (3 years minimum experience)

3. Extensive knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles

4. 3-5 years Full Charge Bookkeeping experience

5. Proficiency in Microsoft Office

6. Ability to prioritize and multi-task in a fast paced work environment

7. Highly organized and detail oriented

8. Able to complete tasks accurately and timely with minimal supervision

9. Strong verbal and written communication skills

10. Thrives in a collaborative, team player office environment

11. Ability to interface well with staff and external contacts of the companies

12. Proven ability to maintain confidentiality 

13. Strong organizational skills
