Job Summary

Peterson Company Ltd is currently seeking a Senior Auditor with an emphasis in government and non-profit organization audits to join our team. The firm offers great opportunity for future advancement.

Responsibilities

• Be the incharge accountant from start to finish on the audit.
• Prepare all necessary financial statement and related disclosures and reportable condition correspondence letters.
• Review workpapers prepared by staff.
• Preparation of compilations and reviews.
• Learns and develops a good understanding of client businesses.
• Executes solid understanding of accounting and auditing principles, ensures quality control standards are met, and applies technology implementation procedures.
• Assist in monthly accounting services for small businesses.

Requirements

• 3+ years of public accounting
• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting
• Experience using CCH Axcess is preferred
• Experience using ProSystem Engagement is a plus
• Strong knowledge and skills in using QuickBooks
• Good communication skills

The firm provides great benefits and a flexible work schedule. The firm offers a four day work week in the summer months from June - August. Bonuses are given after tax season and in the fall based on hours worked and productivity.
