Recommend, develop and implement payroll shared services principles throughout the Americas businesses that enhance the effectiveness of the organization. - Develops and promotes a consistent approach to America's payroll delivery and management. - Consultation and Facilitation - Provide expert consulting regarding payroll initiatives and tools to facilitate overall organization performance. - Establishes and directs payroll internal controls with the emphasis on maintaining data integrity, security, as well as process design/compliance and improvement - Spearheads the establishment of internal Service Level Agreements, key metrics, and ongoing reporting of performance. - Americas Payroll Auditing/Compliance: Schedule, Audit and Review processes for Payroll groups to ensure the accuracy, integrity and compliance of Payroll data. - Collaborating with the IT Organization, and the HRMS group in the evaluation, assessment and rationalization of key business components and systems and proper execution of payroll technology initiatives to lower costs, improve quality and reduce risk and create efficiencies. - Calibrates payroll performance based on best practice approaches and benchmarking of peers. - Development of annual plans and investments for payroll, recommending process improvements. - Oversees and provides sponsorship for Corporate Payroll Projects - Government Reporting: Maintain knowledge of legal requirements and government reporting regulations affecting Payroll and Payroll Tax, including adhering to Data Privacy/Safe Harbor Rules and Regulations for countries outside US. - Work with corporate tax, finance, Human Resources, business leaders and Business Unit personnel to address matters related to Payroll, Payroll Tax, Garnishment, and business unit chargebacks. - Responsible for oversight and documentation and deadlines required for payroll reporting on International Assignees, Annual Report/Proxy data, Stock/RSU reporting, YE, Bonus, and other reporting and documentation. - Drives for continuous process improvement consistent with the corporate LEAN/OP EX direction - Vendor Negotiation / Relationships: Establish, direct, coordinate and manage payroll vendor relationships. - Leads the due diligence and integration activities related to payroll in acquisitions and divestiture events. - Works with HR to proactively and strategically manage recruiting, development, and retention of employees.Knowledge, Skills, Experience, Education - Bachelor Degree in Accounting, Business Administration, and/or related work experience. - 10+ years progressive payroll experience with 5000+ employees, including 5 + years in a Americas payroll environment - Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) required - Experience working in a payroll shared service environment - Experience establishing payroll strategy and leading major change in Americas payroll environment - Expertise in payroll, including payroll tax impact for mergers, acquisitions and divestitures - Prior US multi-entity/multi-state payroll tax experience, including unemployment laws and formulas - Prior experience with International Assignee payroll requirements. - Strong knowledge of Annual Report/Proxy data and stock compensation reporting. - Strong working knowledge of HCM systems, Payroll, Time and GL Systems - Proficiency with US garnishment rules and federal/state guidelines. - Experience in Process Definition and Problem Solving & Analysis, and Change Management - Team-based leadership skills - Progressive thinker with a dynamic,
