Reviews and resolves errors from audits to ensure accurate computation of pay.
Reviews the payroll reconciliation sheet for assigned cycles by validating hours, earnings, tax deductions, employee deductions and general ledger accounts. Checks the reasonableness of all hours paid by income code for the complete payroll cycle.
Reviews, edits and inputs various payroll forms and other miscellaneous employee deductions into employee master files within the payroll system.

Process labor and payroll in house utilizing Deltek Costpoint for 800+ employees located in multiple states.
Reconcile payroll related general ledger accounts and quarter end taxes with tax service agents.
Manage workflow to ensure all payroll transactions are processed accurately and timely within the prescribed deadlines.
Research employee issues and provide a timely response/resolution.
Apply federal and state labor and payroll tax regulations.

Required Skills:
5-7 years payroll experience in a preferably in a government contracting environment.
5-7 years experience with large scale accounting systems to include: timesheet imports, labor processing, payroll processing, payroll taxes, payroll leave accruals, and payroll/payroll tax account reconciliations.
Knowledge of relocation benefits and appropriate taxation.
Working knowledge of payroll best practices and process improvement.
Experience with the Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
Ability to deal with and protect sensitive and confidential material.
Ability to multi-task and prioritize projects in a fast paced environment, while displaying a strong work ethic and high degree of professionalism.
