Chief Financial Officer Key Responsibilities The Chief Financial Officer will be a critical member of the FSG Leadership Team and will assume full responsibility for all aspects of FSG's finances and information technology and play a key role in all strategic planning and decision making. Specific responsibilities include: Strategy Participate in Leadership Team decision-making processes, providing analysis and insights to support the discussion Work closely with Managing Directors in each office to address financial, operational and strategic issues as needed Report to the board and work with the board audit and compensation committee on key issues and trends in FSG's financial performance and operating model Work collaboratively with other members of the FSG team on projects that build and improve FSG's infrastructure Financial and Operational Management Lead all aspects of FSG's finance and accounting operations, including: Oversee accurate and timely completion of payroll, invoice and bank activities Monitor receivables and prepare monthly income statements and profitability analyses Direct the annual budgeting process and report on variances to the Leadership Team Lead the development and implementation of the investment and cash management policy Maintain strong relationships with bankers, brokers and key vendors, negotiating major contracts on behalf of FSG (e.g., leases) Manage client contract and grant reporting Oversee the annual audit and all tax compliance Ensure financial statements are maintained in accordance with US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) Oversee financial and legal reporting obligations outside of the US (particularly in Switzerland and Germany) Guide strategic decision-making through financial reporting and forecasting Oversee FSG's information technology needs, including: Ensure IT solutions grow with our organization to support our consulting and operations teams with state-of-the-art technologies Continue to upgrade and integrate accounting, billing and reporting software Recommend and structure key capital expenditures Participate in technology decisions related to knowledge management, professional development, communications, and administration.
