Ensure accurate and timely data is generated to meet the needs of management, audit and regulators. Management of the Accounting & A/P functions to ensure general ledger close deadlines and cut-off procedures are met with accuracy. Review, monitor, and design account reconciliation/analyses that are in accordance with accounting policies and acceptable to the company's public auditors. Monitor accounting policies and procedures for compliance with GAAP by assisting with interpretation of existing and new accounting pronouncements. Evaluate and communicate any impact to company and implement changes as needed. Participate in developing accounting controls, operational strategies, including the review and implementation of process and system changes. Plan, organize, and distribute work to the staff to maximize their efficiency. Act as a mentor to enhance professional growth of staff. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related area required, CPA preferred. Minimum of 5-7 years corporate accounting experience. Minimum 4 years supervisory experience. Minimum 3 years experience with monthly closing process,consolidation, intercompany transactions. Ability to work hands on in a collaborative manner. Banking, investment orfinancial services industry experience. Public accounting experience, Big Four preferred. Accounting systems conversion experience preferred.
