This knowledge is normally obtained through a Bachelor?s degree in business administration and seven to ten years progressively more responsible experience of combined public accounting, internal audit and/or financial operations experience serving health care organizations or an equivalent combination of education and related experience is required. A Master?s Degree in a relevant field is desirable. Certification as a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or a Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) is required. A Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE) certification is a plus, but not required. Demonstrates proficiency in the use of personal computers and possess working knowledge in the use of software used in a typical office environment (e.g. word processing, spreadsheet, presentation, etc. [Windows, Word, Excel, GroupWise, Internet/intranet, Visio PowerPoint and Access]) and able to utilize computerized audit software (e.g. ACL). Must be able to establish and maintain productive, professional relationships with peers, management staff and others within Trinity Health. Demonstrates knowledge and understanding of the client?s business as evidenced in the recommendations to management and leverages this knowledge throughout the audit process and other dealings with the client. Must be able to make timely decisions based on logical thinking; incorporate appropriate information in analyzing problems; make decisions using ethical principles; and propose constructive and objective solutions to problems. Demonstrates ability to analyze data, reassess scope and identify issues and best practices. Must be comfortable operating in a collaborative, shared leadership environment.
