Essential Responsibilities Technical accounting manager for the business with responsibility for management of global HCIT accounting policies and procedures Interpret and apply technical accounting solutions on key business issues in coordination with business controllers and Finance Managers Coordinate and prepare documentation regarding key accounting conclusions Monitor, interpret and communicate information regarding new developments in accounting standards and other regulatory rulings with an impact on the business. Assist with the implementation of new standards, including coordination with key business constituents, and parent level technical accounting team(s) Ensure Controllership & Compliance of all finance activities & documentation within SOX, local statutory, GE corporate & business practices, policies & requirements, and that such records are maintained in timely, accurate and complete fashion Partner with GE Corporate Audit Staff for internal GE compliance reviews. Drive closure of open audit issues and proactively work to prevent future issues / manage risk. Lead resulting corrective action process implementation and follow up throughout the organization. To prepare the annual budget with relevant commentaries. The Controller will also have to monitor cash flow so that the parent does not create a deficit cash situation (it is a standalone cash entity). The Controller will also have to guarantee accurate tax reporting so that the parent does not run afoul of federal requirements.
