Position: As the Controller, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing the day-to-day accounting activities, including accounts payables; accounts receivables; payroll, inventory management and reconciliation; fixed assets; division and consolidated financial statement reporting; cash flow management; and product and departmental costing. This role involves working with other individuals and departments within the company and with lenders, auditors, and other outside parties. The ideal candidate has a high level of integrity, a deep desire to serve others in a team environment, and to help the company progress and succeed. Responsibilities: Ensure that the accounting staff has the information, tools, and support needed to fulfill their responsibilities. Supervise the monthly close process including preparation and review of journal entries. Perform detailed review, analysis, and reconciliation of balance sheet accounts. Prepare monthly division and consolidated financial statements. Analyze general ledger account fluctuations. Establish and evaluate product costing procedures. Manage cash flow. Evaluate return on investment for company projects and fixed asset purchases. Qualifications: 5 to 7 years accounting experience A comprehensive knowledge of GAAP BA/BS in accounting Managerial and supervisory experience Background in internal controls and consolidated financial statement preparation. Proficiency in MS Excel, MS Word, and QuickBooks or similar accounting software Strong organizational skills
